Henry D. Kass

As a partner at MKFM Law, LLC, Henry Kass focuses primarily on criminal law and domestic relations. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and studying abroad at the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law. After graduaing he worked with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney. During this time, he prosecuted felony criminal cases, including many involving domestic violence, and he received a Special Commendation award.

Henry's experience trying hundreds of cases provides clients with the resources they need when they are looking to expunge or seal their criminal records. In addition to his litigation experience, he also taught family law at the College of DuPage for five years, and he has published multiple articles in the Illinois State Bar Association Newsletter and the DuPage County Bar Association Brief. He has served as the Vice Chair and Chair of the DuPage County Bar Association's Child Advocacy Committee, and DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation awarded him the Pro Bono Service Award.

Henry is currently licensed to practice law in Illinois and Iowa, and he primarily works with clients DuPage, Cook, Kane, Kendall, Will, Grundy, and DeKalb Counties. He is a Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation and a member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. He also served on the DuPage County Judicial Committee, joining with other attorneys to interview judicial applicants. He was elected as an Assembly Member of the Illinois State Bar Association for two terms, and during this time, he voted on revisions to Illinois law to be considered by the Illinois General Assembly. This extensive experience gives him a thorough knowledge of the law, ensuring that clients are able to address and resolve legal issues as they seek to clear their criminal record.
