Stacey A. McCullough

Of Counsel

Stacey McCullough has more than 20 years of experience litigating cases involving felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile crime, and traffic violations. She is dedicated to defending those accused of criminal charges, and she approaches each case with compassion, honesty, and the tenacity that clients need to achieve positive results. Her experience in administrative law matters provides clients with the keen eye needed to address the legal issues that may arise when they are looking to expunge or seal criminal records. She represents clients in DuPage, Cook, Kane, Will, Kendall, and McHenry Counties.

Stacey graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in 1994 and received her Juris Doctor degree, and she was admitted to practice law in Illinois that same year. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991 receiving a Criminal Justice degree with highest honors. She began her legal career working at the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office, and this helped her develop negotiation and litigation skills as she defended people facing criminal charges such as drug possession, DUI, theft, robbery, sexual assault, and murder. After bringing hundreds of cases to trial or hearing, she began a private practice in 2004. In January 2018, she joined Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC.

Stacey works to remain active in the legal community. She is currently the President of the DuPage County Bar Association and Treasurer of the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. In addition to being a member of the DuPage County Bar Association (including serving on the Board of directors and as Chair of numerous committees), she also maintains membership in the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association (including serving as President), the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. Stacey currently serves as a member of the DCBA Public Interest and Action Commission, Criminal Law and Practice Section, Lawyer Referral Service Committee, Membership Committee, Budget Committee, and Bench Bar Committee. She frequently presents at Continuing Legal Education seminars, speaking to her colleagues about topics related to expungement, trial advocady, and criminal law and procedure.

Stacey’s primary and secondary passions are her teen son and daughter, who both plan to follow her example and enter the legal profession.
